Holding more than a little in common (when it comes to triumphing over adversity) with Timbaland and extracting himself from his hip hop niche to flourish as a producer wizard for hire; Drake has emerged, reputation unscathed from acting in Canadian teen soap 'Degrassi: The Next Generation'. So for his next move it's little wonder that the studio alchemist and rap's hottest property decided to collaborate. The result, 'Say Something', sees Timbaland providing a beat fresher than cut grass for Drake to drape in his unique sung/rapped delivery. With a mournful hook of "You and me only/I did it all for you, still you were lonely", hip hop's MVP manages to name check both TV show 'Californication' and movie 'The Talented Mr Ripley' within a few short seconds. Sharing the microphone with the man known to his mother as Timothy Mosley, it's clear that Timbaland has been putting in some hefty overtime on his rapping skills, going toe to toe and bar to bar with Drake throughout.
