Colorado outfit 3OH!3 are an electro pop outfit that first appeared in 2008 - a year that was heavily dominated by acts that mixed urban and electronic influences. 'Don't Trust Me' was the band's breakthrough single achieving international success, double platinum status and top 10 position on the US Billboard chart. The band's name is actually a reference to the group's local area code; not a geeky nod to the TB-303 80's synthesizer which revolutionized acid house as some nerdy bloggers hypothesized. Following the lead from Miami Bass groups such as 2 Live Crew, the appeal of 'Don't Trust Me' lies in its driving up-tempo beats and liberal use of racy lyrics which has made it a favorite with younger audiences the world over.~ Stephen Titmus.
